Burnley fan raises funds for Saints Foundation

This weekend we are delighted to welcome Scott Cunliffe to St Mary’s, as he completes the first leg of his RunAway challenge.

Scott has challenged himself to run to each of Burnley’s 2018/19 Premier League away games, and will be clocking up 3,000 miles throughout the season and hoping to raise £10,000 for various charities.

“I wanted to set myself a big challenge that combined my love of away days with my passion for running and for my hometown of Burnley,” Scott said. “From this, the idea for RunAway took shape.”

50% of the proceeds will be being split between local charities in Scott’s hometown of Burnley, and the remaining 50% will be divided by the community trusts of each of the clubs he will be running to.

Scott will be joining Saints Foundation at a SaintsAbility session on Saturday morning, where he will gain some valuable insight what his fundraising will go towards, before arriving at St Mary’s Stadium on Sunday to watch the Premier League opener.
