Two Southampton based schools have won the opportunity to represent Southampton Football Club at the Premier League Schools Tournament Finals Day at Everton’s Goodison Park in May.

Saints Foundation recently hosted the Premier League Schools Tournament regional round at Goals Soccer Centre, with 94 primary and secondary schools and over 750 players taking part.

After a competitive day of football, Ludlow Junior won the Under 11 Mixed category, whilst Noadswood School were triumphant in the Under 13 Girls tournament.

Last week both schools visited the club’s Staplewood facility, where they got to experience what it’s like to be an Academy or First Team player by touring around the facility and participating in a session.

Premier League Schools Tournament organiser, Ed Kilby has emphasized the impact the tournament has on the schools that take part in the tournament.

“The Premier League Schools Tournament has continued to grow with more schools entering the regional rounds this year than ever before. The tournament allows pupils from various schools to interact with each other in a friendly but competitive environment. Saints Foundation look forward to taking Ludlow Junior and Noadswood School to Goodison Park in May to represent Southampton Football Club in the Finals.”
