As part of International Women’s Day and Saints Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting women and girl’s of all backgrounds, we are taking a closer look at one of our women’s programmes and how it benefits women at risk in our community.

Held at Spartan’s Fight Club in Southampton, every week over 10 women come to participate in the Women’s Get-Fit programme, working with personal trainer, Stacey De Ste Croix.

Working with women from isolated and vulnerable backgrounds, Stacey engages the group in various Get-Fit programmes that promote empowerment, self-confidence and enhancing their physical wellbeing.

Saints Foundation have been working with Spartan’s to help facilitate the sessions, with Lisa Latona, our Saints4Sport Project Officer, on hand to inspire, motivate and encourage all the participants throughout the programme.

Lisa commented, “The women’s only Get-Fit session is designed to be empowering and confidence building while simultaneously improving their fitness. The Foundation are fantastic in engaging with people from all different backgrounds, but its also great for us to take the lead and promote women’s only sessions such as this.”
