Saints Foundation were delighted to take a group of students from three local schools up to Swansea recently, where they competed in a Premier League 4 Sport event.

11 students from Cantell School, St George’s Catholic School and Oasis Academy Mayfield made the trip North to Swansea, where they took part in the multi-sport tournament against Plymouth Argyle’s, Portsmouth’s and Swansea City’s Foundation teams.

Tony, who represented Saints Foundation, said, “I had a good time today playing the sports that I enjoy, and it’s really good to see people having a great time.”

Saints Foundation’s teams put on respectable performances across the different sports being played, with two second placed finishes in basketball and women’s football, before coming out as winners in the men’s football tournament.

Ollie Morton, Saints Foundation’s PL4S Project Officer, said, “It was a great day, showing what sport can do and bringing young people from all backgrounds together – this is what the Premier League 4 Sport programme is all about, and I am extremely proud of all the students that took part.
