The two-day event will see riders covering 180 miles from Bet365 Stadium to St Mary’s, arriving in time to see Saints take on Stoke City in the last home fixture of the season.

Riders will travel up to Stoke on the evening of Friday 19th May, and will kick start the first 90 mile leg of the ride on the Saturday, followed by the remaining 90 miles to St Mary’s on Sunday 21st May 2017. The target fundraising amount for each participant is £450.

‘Our 2016 Big Bike Challenge was a great success, raising over £25,000 for Saints Foundation. Our next ride will be the longest distance that we’ve attempted in the seven years that the Big Bike Challenge has been running, so we really hope to get lots of riders of all abilities taking part.’ Amy Bennett, Fundraising Officer.

All travel and accommodation will be arranged by Saints Foundation and riders will also receive exclusive branded jerseys and bib shorts.

Saints Foundation will be holding an information evening at St Mary’s on Monday 21st November, starting at 6.30pm, where you can learn more about the route, training schedules, fundraising support and the causes that your money will support.

If you would like more information, please contact Amy Bennett, Fundraising Officer on or 02380 711997.

  1. I am a Breeze Level 2 Ride Leader and have endurance rides/races experience. I am interested in helping to train personnel for this ride. My Breeze Co-ordinator is Ruth Crawford; I am Breeze Lymington in the New Forest.

      Hi Kas,

I’m sure Ruth will be able to point you in the direction of everything to do with Ride Leaders, so it may be worth getting in touch with her to express your interests?

  2. Interested.I’ll come along on the 21st.

  3. Hi Amy

Apols for not being able to attend the launch – I am en route to Prague.

I would like to be part of this event having cycled 1000 miles across France in September (from the Chanel to the Atlantic and then down to Perpignan on the south coast.

I also have quite an interesting means of raising the sponsorship.

Please let me have the details and I will get back to you when back from Prague.
